International Class 2012

The International Class 2012 'KeyS for Teachers in Europe' is a collaboration between four Teacher Training Faculties of Interactum Vlaanderen
    • HUB Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel, Brussels
    • Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge Oostende, Bruges
    • Karel De Grote-Hogeschool, Antwerp
    • Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, Vorselaar
  • The organising institute for the International Class moves every two years:
    • Brussels (2005-2007),
    • Antwerp (2007-2009),
    • Bruges (2010-2011) and
    • Vorselaar (2011-2013)

  • Programme 20 ECTS: 5 modules of 4 ECTS each, for three months, from 06/02/2012 to 04/05/2012
  • Programme 30 ECTS: with one extra module of 10 ECTS, for four months and a half, from 06/02/2012 to 15/06/2012

    Easter-holidays weeks 14 and 15 (02/04/2012 - 13/04/2012)

  • Students: 9 to 10 nationalities participating, also Flemish students, max. 36 participants

Leuven and Vorselaar 

  • The International Class 2012 will be organised by the Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen. The courses, activities and accommodation for students will be in Leuven, the most known university city in Belgium. Information about the city Leuven can be found on www.leuven.be.

Flanders

Interactum

  • A Flemish-Dutch federation of independent and befriended teacher training colleges

Attendance

Enrolling in the International Class is a serious engagement. We ask of every student enrolled in the course to attend at least 80% of the classes. If you are absent more than 20% of the time, we reserve the right not to award you the credit.
 
English as a working language
 
The working language of the International Class is English. An intermediate or upper intermediate level of English is necessary, particularly for students staying for the apprenticeship. The level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) would be B1/B2.

Accommodation
 
We can offer help in finding accommodation if you enroll before 1 November 2011.
Please note that you may have to look for a youth hostel yourself if you arrive before 6th of February or leave after 2nd of May 2012, or after 15th of June.
